About this hunt

Trophy hunting at Buffalo Creek Ranch in Leakey, in the rugged Texas Hill Country about 100 miles northwest of San Antonio. Family owned and operated since 1992, hosting everyone from first-time hunters to Weatherby Award winners — life members of SCI, IPHA, DSC, EWA and NRA. Hunt African plains game without the overseas hassle: markhor, ibex, aoudad and eight species of wild sheep among 40+ species. The model is simple: a daily guide fee plus the trophy fee for the animal you take (full fee list below). The daily guide fee covers on-ranch transportation, guide services, field dressing, cooler storage during your hunt, and transport of game to a local processor or taxidermist. Trophy fees are payable in full for game wounded and lost. We host ONE hunting party at a time — the ranch is yours. First-class lodging with en-suite bathrooms available on the ranch, or excellent local lodging nearby (year-round RV facilities within 2 miles). Airport transfers from San Antonio can be arranged. Antlered game (except axis) runs Aug 15–Mar 15; axis and all other exotics year-round.
