Email notification settings

One toggle controls message emails; booking, payment, and hosting emails are always on.

BirdDog emails you about account and booking activity. There's a single optional toggle — for messages — on Settings under Email Notifications.

The one toggle

  1. Open Settings and scroll to Email Notifications.
  2. Flip the New messages switch — "Get an email when a host or guest writes you" — on or off.
  3. Tap Save changes to keep the setting.

Always-on emails

  1. Booking updates — request confirmation, approval, decline, and cancellation emails.
  2. Payments — charge receipts and anything that needs your card's attention.
  3. Booking requests (hosts) — when a hunter requests one of your listings.
  4. Guest changes (hosts) — when a guest cancels a confirmed booking.

These always-on switches are disabled on purpose: the emails confirm money moved or dates changed, so they're part of the booking itself. BirdDog doesn't send marketing email from this page.
