Understanding the service fee

The fee is 3.5% + $0.60 per charge (5% + $0.60 for international cards) — shown in full before you submit.

The fee is a single line item in your booking's price. It covers payment processing — the card network and Stripe costs on your transaction — plus the marketplace, messaging, and the support team behind every booking.

How it's calculated

The fee is 3.5% + $0.60 per charge, or 5% + $0.60 for international cards (international cards cost more to process — checkout reads your card's country before the total locks). It's included in the total you see, not added on top.

Where it shows up

  1. At checkout — as Processing fee in the Price breakdown, above the Total.
  2. After booking — as Service fee on the receipt card of your booking page.

You always see the full total — fee included — before you tap Confirm and pay. There are no surprise charges after you submit, and if your payment is split into a deposit and balance, the fee is apportioned across the charges.
