Cancel or reschedule a booking
Cancel from the booking page while a request is Pending or Confirmed — you see the exact refund before you confirm.
You can cancel any booking that's still Pending or Confirmed, straight from its booking page. There's no reschedule button — to move a trip, cancel and submit a new request for the new dates.
- Open My bookings and select the booking to open its page.
- Read the cancellation terms shown just above the cancel button — they spell out the listing's policy (for example, "Moderate policy: Full refund 30+ days out; 50% refund inside 30 days.").
- Tap Cancel booking — before anything happens, you're shown the exact money outcome: "You'll get a full refund of $X back to the card on file (5–10 business days)", a partial amount under the policy, "no refund is due — the $X paid stands", or "You haven't been charged — cancelling costs nothing."
- Add a reason if you like — the placeholder says it all: "Why? (the host sees this)".
- Tap Yes, cancel to confirm (or Keep it to back out). The booking status changes to Cancelled, and the booking page states the actual result — "$X was refunded to the card on file — it posts within 5–10 business days" or "No refund was due under the {policy} policy."
The policy's percentage applies to what has actually been charged so far — on a deposit-only booking, a 50% refund means half the deposit, and the uncharged balance simply never charges. Refunds post to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Inside the policy window a cancellation may be only partly refundable or non-refundable. Always read the policy line above Cancel booking before you confirm.
