How to search for your parcel by owner name
The classic claim search: type the owner name as it appears on the tax record, pick a state and county, and find your parcels — free, no sign-in needed.
The claim map is the default way to find your land, but there's a classic search form too — the same parcel data, searched by owner name. It's free and you don't need to be signed in. Open it at the claim form, or from the map via "Prefer the form? Search by owner, state & county."
- Open the claim form — the Find your land screen has an Owner name field, State and County dropdowns, and a Search parcels button.
- Type the owner name as it appears on the tax bill — first-last or last-first both work. You can bundle the county and state into the same box (e.g., "Smith Anderson County TX") and the dropdowns fill in automatically.
- Confirm the State and County dropdowns — if the county is ambiguous, one-tap suggestion chips appear ("Anderson County?") so you can pick it with a click.
- Click Search parcels — every matching parcel loads on the Select your parcels screen.
Parcels near county lines are sometimes filed in a neighboring county. If your search comes up empty, try the next county over.
Use the exact owner name from the tax record. Nicknames, maiden names, or business DBAs that don't match the deed won't return results.
