Lease listing fields explained
A field-by-field reference for the lease listing form: title, annual price, payment schedule, season, capacity, species, livestock, photos, description, and the custom use label.
This is a reference for every field on the lease listing form — the same form appears when creating at the listing form and when editing a published listing.
Listing title
A short name for the listing. Keep it specific — "160-acre whitetail lease, gated access" beats "Good hunting land."
Annual price
What the lessee pays for the full season, in US dollars. The Suggested price card shows the per-acre rate and annual estimate for reference — click Use suggested price to adopt it.
Payment schedule
- Upfront (one payment) — the full annual price is collected at the start.
- Monthly installments — the annual price is split into monthly payments.
Season
The dates the lease grants access. Click Set season dates to add a start and end, or leave it year-round ("Year-round — available any time"); Make year-round clears the dates again.
Capacity
Labeled per use: Max guests for hunting, Max head of livestock for grazing, Capacity otherwise. Leave it blank for no limit.
Game species
Hunting leases only — pick what hunters can pursue on this lease. Species show on your listing and help lessees find it.
Livestock type
Grazing leases only — a free-text list of allowed livestock (e.g., Cattle, Sheep, Goats).
Photos
Optional, but recommended — "Show lessees the land, blinds, lodging, or pasture."
Description
Free text for everything else: what's included, rules lessees should know, and access details.
Custom use label
Picking Something else as the use adds a What are you leasing? field (e.g., Solar, Timber, Events) — it's required for custom uses.
Publishing requires only a title, a positive price, and the custom label for Something else. Every field is editable after you publish — changes apply when you click Save changes.
