Check if you qualify for a land loan
An 8-step loan qualifier — purpose, state, acres, credit band, property value, loan amount, income, and debt. Self-reported, no hard credit pull, no land claim needed.
The loan qualifier at Land financing tells you whether you're likely to qualify for a land loan — self-reported numbers, no hard credit pull, and no land claim needed (land buyers are welcome). It's an 8-step wizard, one question per step.
Steps 1–4
- "What are you looking to do?" — Purchase land or Refinance land I own.
- "What state is the property in?" — pick the state.
- "How many acres are involved?" — enter the acreage.
- "What's your estimated credit score?" — pick a band: 720 or higher, 680 – 719, 640 – 679, or Below 640. "A rough estimate is fine — no credit pull is performed."
Steps 5–8
- "What's the purchase price (or value) of the land?" (refinance: "What is the property worth today?") — your best estimate of the land's value, excluding any dwelling.
- "How much would you like to borrow?" — the requested amount is capped at 70% of the property value.
- "What's your total monthly income?" — net farm income plus any off-farm income.
- "What's your total monthly debt service?" — all loan and debt payments combined. Then click See if I qualify.
The results page
If you qualify, the page reads You qualify and shows the numbers behind it: property value, loan amount, your equity / down payment, loan-to-value (max 70%), and the 1% origination fee. From there, click Continue to application to start the formal application (prefilled from your answers), or Talk to a specialist. No interest rate is shown here — a specialist confirms your program and rate from the full application. If you don't qualify yet, the page shows the gate you failed with Have a lender reach out and Adjust my answers options.
Preliminary and non-binding. Rates and payments are estimates based on self-reported information; final terms require a full application and lender underwriting (which includes a credit check).
