Set up payouts with Stripe
Connect your bank through Stripe Connect — about five minutes — so booking payouts can deposit straight to your account.
Payouts run through Stripe Connect — BirdDog never sees or stores your bank details. You connect once, and from then on funds deposit straight to your bank when a booking is confirmed. The same connected account also receives land-lease payouts.
Where to start setup
- Onboarding — the "Getting paid" step ("Bookings are request-based — you approve each trip. Connect your bank once and funds deposit straight to your account when a booking is confirmed.").
- Today checklist — the Connect payouts task opens the setup dialog right on the Today page.
- Earnings page — until you're connected, Earnings leads with an Add a payout method card: "In order to get paid, you'll need to let us know where to send your money." Tap Set up payouts.
- A booking request — if a request arrives before you're connected, the approve button reads Connect payouts to approve and opens the same dialog.
The setup
- Read the Set up payouts dialog — "When a hunter books, funds deposit straight to your bank account." — then tap Set up with Stripe (it reads "Opening Stripe…" while it connects).
- On Stripe's secure page, enter your bank account and tax info — about five minutes. Stripe handles the whole thing; we never see your bank details.
- Finish and you return to where you started. In onboarding, the step flips to the Payouts connected card — "Your bank is linked" — with a Manage in Stripe link to your Stripe dashboard.
Started but didn't finish? The Add a payout method prompt stays up until Stripe confirms your account is fully enabled. Tap Set up with Stripe again — you pick up where you left off, not from zero.
After you're connected, the Your payout account link on the Earnings page opens your Stripe dashboard — that's where bank details, tax forms, and payout history live.
Nothing pays out until setup is complete — and you can't approve booking requests until then either. Payouts are currently US-only: outside the US the checklist item reads "Not yet available outside the US."
