What is BirdDog?
BirdDog is a marketplace for hunting land, leases, and guided trips — plus land tools like claim, grants, tax, insurance, and loans.
BirdDog is a two-sided platform for the hunting and outdoor land world. On one side, hunters browse and book hunts, leases, and day access. On the other, landowners claim their land, find grants and tax savings, and earn income by listing it.
The hunter side
- Browse the marketplace for hunting land, season leases, guided trips, and day access.
- Filter by species, dates, party size, and price to find the right fit.
- Request to book — nothing is charged until the host approves. Save listings to compare and revisit later.
The landowner side
- Claim your land — search county records by owner name, state, and county, then attach parcels to your account for free.
- My land — see assessment, taxes, soil, flood, climate, and ownership records for every claimed parcel, plus a land score and earning potential.
- Earn — list land for hunting access, crop, or grazing leases; track inquiries and payouts.
- Host — post guided hunts and experiences on the marketplace, approve or decline requests, and get paid through Stripe.
- Savings — run a grant search to get matched with federal and state conservation and cost-share programs, plus a Section 180 soil-fertility tax deduction check.
Land tools beyond the marketplace
BirdDog also builds tools for landowners that go beyond leasing: grants and cost-share matching, a Section 180 soil-fertility tax deduction check, landowner insurance quotes reviewed by licensed specialists, and land financing through ag lending partners. These sit alongside claim, My land, and Earn as the landowner toolkit.
