Find grants and cost-shares for your land
Run a grant search to get matched with federal and state programs, ranked for your property and goals.
Your grant searches live under Land Savings. Start a search, answer questions about your property and goals, and we match you with relevant federal and state programs — plus the offices and next steps to pursue them. You can also start from a parcel's page: open Potential, then Grants, then Find grants for this land.
- Open Land Savings and click Find grants on the Grants & Cost-Shares card (returning users: Start a new search) — the search opens at the property step.
- Pick the parcel this search is for, then answer 17 questions about your land, ownership, and goals — one per step (18 if your answers unlock the conditional financing question).
- Click See my matches on the last step — your ranked results generate and save.

Results rank best match first, with Strong match badges on your best fits. Click View details on any program to see why it's a match, the office to call (tap-to-call), a "What to say when you call" script, and a "What to bring" checklist. Narrow with the filter chips, re-sort with the Best match dropdown, and click Print plan to print every program's full detail as one document.
Answers aren't saved as you type — click Save & exit to store a draft. It resumes exactly where you left off from Your grant searches.
BirdDog identifies potential matches for educational purposes. Program administrators determine final eligibility, availability, deadlines, and awards.
