Grant search: reading your results

After you click See my matches, the results page ranks every matching federal and state program by fit — using your property data, land use, goals, and each program's requirements. A stats band up top shows Matched programs, Strongest matches, and Property location.

Step 1 — Read the ranked results

1. 1Scan the list — programs rank best match first, and your best fits carry a Strong match badge (the rest read Good match).
2. 2Note the tags and the Federal/State label on each card to see the program's shape at a glance.

Step 2 — Expand a program

1. 1Click View details on a program card — the detail expands inline (click Hide details to collapse).
2. 2Read "Why it's a match," the funding and deadline facts, and the track record.
3. 3Find your local office call card — the phone number is tap-to-call on mobile.
4. 4Rehearse the "What to say when you call" script and check the "What to bring" checklist before you dial.

Step 3 — Filter, sort, and load more

1. •Filter with the chips — All programs, Federal, your state, Conservation, Habitat, Water, or Fencing — or use the "Search your matches" box.
2. •Sort with the dropdown: Best match (default) or A – Z.
3. •Click Load more at the bottom — the list opens with just a few programs showing.

Step 4 — Print plan and share

1. 1Click Print plan in the top right — every program's full detail lays out as one clean, paginated document to print or save as PDF.
2. 2Expand a program and copy the URL — the expanded program rides in the link, so sharing or bookmarking it lands the reader right on that match.
